All of my work is one-of-a-kind and will thus vary slightly from the photos on this website. For example, the arrangement of pattern in the Quilted series will be different in every piece because I arrange the pieces of each one as the glass tells me where it wants to go. The Dichroic butterflies and flowers will vary slightly. The Dichroic gingko leaves can be arranged as shown in the photos, or we can discuss the arrangement you prefer.
FUSED GLASS is, of course, breakable. I have found it to be quite sturdy, but there are some cautions for the use of these items:
Any glass will eventually be damaged by a dishwasher. Please wash this glass by hand.
All Bullseye glass, which is what I use, has been tested food safe.
Please do not put this glass in a microwave.
Any extensive use of a knife will scratch the glass.
If you have purchased a wall piece with hanging hardware, please be sure the wall you have selected can support the piece. Some walls will require special fasteners to prevent the screws from pulling out.
RAKU TILES will fade if exposed to a lot of sunlight. This can be prevented by storing the tables in a shady area if they are used outdoors in the summer. Tables should not be left outside in the winter.
Take care in hanging the mirrors. Please make sure the hangers are well seated in the wall, preferably at a stud.
The tiles of both tables and mirrors will benefit from being coated with a self-polishing wax such as Mop n Glo every six months.
If one of your tiles should be broken, please contact me and I will gladly send you a replacement.
